Australia competes in one international event annually for both the Opens and Masters levels, alternating between the FIP World Cup and FIP Asian Cup. The 2025 Aussie Crocs will be competing in the Asian Cup, with team selection based on a combination of the following criteria:

Players must hold a valid Australian passport and have not represented another country in the thirty-six (36) months prior to the event.

• Recent results at International (FIP) and National (APT) tournaments
• Recent results at FIP World Cup tournaments

• Current FIP world ranking
• Current APT ranking (or residing country equivalent)

Team coach and manager recommendation (consideration to match-up of pairings, previous pairing experience, good-standing)

Padel Australia administration review

The FIP Asia Padel Cup will take place in Doha, Qatar in October 2025. The event will be hosted at the prestigious Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, a world-class venue that has previously hosted the FIP World Padel Championships in 2021 and 2024, and the Ooredoo Qatar Major Padel.

Team selection, registration, competition format and logistics will be communicated to players in early August 2025.

The Asia-Africa Qualifiers for the 17th World Padel Championship took place in Kuwait from the 22-27 of September, 2024. You can find the results of the tournament here. 

Alicante, Spain hosted the III Seniors World Padel Championships from the 15-20 April, 2024.
