The Aussie Crocs are Australia’s official Men’s, Women’s and Masters padel teams and represent the best players Down Under has to offer. Each year, the Aussie Crocs compete in one international FIP (International Padel Federation) event—alternating between the FIP World Cup and FIP Asia Padel Cup.

How we select Aussie Crocs

The Aussie Crocs are Australia’s official Men’s, Women’s and Masters padel teams and represent the best players Down Under has to offer.

Each year, the Aussie Crocs compete in one international FIP (International Padel Federation) event—alternating between the FIP World Cup and FIP Asia Padel Cup.

Consideration

To be considered for the team, all players must firstly:

  • hold a valid Australian passport and
  • not have represented any other country in the thirty-six (36) months prior to the event.

Results

Players are selected based on recent results at:

  • International (FIP) and National (APT) tournaments, and
  • FIP World Cup tournaments.

Ranking

Your current ranking matters. In particular, your current;

  • FIP world ranking, and
  • APT ranking (or residing country equivalent)

Recommendation

Recommendations from team coaches and managers are important to get a sense for how you play and pair. Coaches and managers should make note of things like match-up of pairings, previous pairing experience and good-standing.

Review

Once all this evidence is collected, Padel Australia’s selection committee conduct an administration review to select the best Aussie Crocs players for each team.
